Gulf Fritillary Butterfly
"Gulf Fritillary Butterfly" was created for a "Quilt the Swamp" exhibit in my home state of Louisiana. It is machine quilted and hand appliquéd. It is beaded. The flower vine is covered cloths line. The challenge was to interpret a photo by John Hartdegen. It has commercial and hand dyed fabrics. "Gulf Fritillary Butterfly" is 40 inches wide and 22 inches high.
